Our Story
About
Founded in 1989 by K. N. Matha Gowder, Chairman of the Iyyan Group, Madanad-IBS TEA began as a Private Limited Company nestled in the mist-covered hills of India. What started as a family-led initiative has grown into a trusted name in the global tea export market.
We specialize in producing high-quality tea leaves with consistent standards, proudly preserving traditional handpicking techniques that ensure only the finest leaves make it from bush to brew.
At the heart of our mission is a deep commitment to supporting small growers and giving back to the community. Through our marketing partnership with Nilgiri Farmers Produce Company (NFPC), we help local farmers access larger markets while upholding sustainable practices.
We're proud to have achieved a 50% reduction in wood consumption and implemented a Just Economically Viable System of Plucking (JEVSP) — dramatically improving the health and productivity of our tea gardens.
From local roots to global reach, Madanad-IBS TEA continues to steep every cup in excellence, responsibility, and care.
We grow with tradition, harvest with integrity, and ship to the world with pride. Every leaf is a reflection of our commitment to quality and care. Our roots run deep in the Indian soil, but our vision spans continents. From our fields to your cup, we bring the essence of heritage in every sip.
